❄️ Community Skating Rinks

Yellowbird Community League has two skating rinks available for use by members:

Recreational Skating Rink (snowbank rink)

  • Open skating only
  • No hockey sticks or pucks

Full-Size Rink (enclosed rink)

  • Hockey
  • Ringette
  • Skating


⚠️ Important Guidelines to Remember

  • ALL children under 18 should wear protective headgear
  • Protective headgear is strongly recommended for adults
  • Skating is welcome until 10:00 PM
  • Lights are on approximately 4:30 PM – 10:00 PM
  • All skaters use the facility at their own risk — please be careful and safe


🏡 Rink Shack

Change into your skates and warm your toes in the skate shack! Rink shack is open with attendant (when ice is open). Rink lights are on until 10:00 PM

Monday – Friday
5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Saturday & Sunday
10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Hours depend on weather.
During temperatures colder than –20°C with windchill, the rink shack will be closed.


Skating season is November through March*

*Please note, rink condition is weather dependent. Neighbours are welcome to use the rinks at their own discretion, but may need to clear the ice themselves.
