Our Family Day Event was a huge success because of those volunteers and to the following community members. Here are some of the remarkable few:
- The Local Latter Day Saints volunteers and LDS Elders and Sisters–Great Chili dispensing , hot dog grilling and handing out hot chocolate and cookies!;
- The Yellowbird Girl Guides and 199 Yellowbird Scout group– cooking bannock, helping with the fire set up & warming fires;
- Above and beyond honorable mentions: Emily W. Nolan R, Julie H., The Weisbrot family, Susan T, Cheryl K, Julie W, Roger L, Richard K, Craig M, Helen W, Angela S., Cheryl F., Sara S, Amy M, –your tremendous efforts made it all happen!
- Thank you to our Cllr. Jennifer Rice for attending the event to meet the residents.
The balmy temperatures drove our Yellowbird Family Day Event to an easy 450+ attendance! We experienced our most enthusiastic attendance in recent history. Thank You to all community members who attended and made it a memorable day for the community. A special Thank You to South West Area Council for their support and sponsorship of Yellowbird Community Family Day Event. See you all next year!
