Yellowbird Scouts

The 199 Yellowbird Scout group is getting busy planning for a great come-back year! And we are getting a lot of interest from youth.

In order to be successful, the group needs parent or youth volunteers to take on leadership roles at every section level and group committee. Roles include Contact Scouters and Scout leaders for all sections. In addition, we need a new registrar, quartermaster, secretary, volunteer fundraising coordinator, and even Group Commissioner. The 199 Yellowbird has gear, money, and a supportive community league.

Scouts is a youth-led coed program administered by volunteers who inspire adventures and experiences that create lasting memories.

Programs are available for youth 5 to 17 years of age. The programs provide informal education emphasizing leadership and practical outdoor activities, including camping, scoutcraft, canoeing, winter skills, hiking, backpacking, and outdoor sports. Activities are progressive based on age and experience.
